The way to choose more suitable network connection to Spectrumsat

The type of network connection through the satellite depends on used uplink chanell. Dial-UP, leased line, GPRS and others can be uplink chanell.

Besides connection type choise depends on uplink connection IP address given to you when You activate Your uplink channel.

IP address can be REAL - (public, routable), and FAKE - (private, non routable). For the beginning let's define what kind of IPs are REAL - routable, and FAKE (private) - non routable. Real IP addresses - are routed by any Internet providers. Private IP addresses - aren't routed by Internet providers, they are used in internal (local) networks.
    Private IP addresses are:

    1. 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
    2.172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
    3.192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

If your IP address does not belong to the above-stated range - you have real routable IP address.

You can find out what IP address your uplink provider has given to you, run ipconfig /all command in command line. If your IP address belong to the above-stated range - you have private (FAKE) address, if not - you have real routable IP address.

Users who have FAKE IP address have access to the Internet through translation of network addresses - NAT (Network Address Translation). NAT provides transformation private IP addresses in real external IP. External IP address can be viewed on this page.

    ACCELERATOR

This type of connection gives you the greatest economy of the uplink traffic and high download speed. For using accelerator you must install the program-client tc-recv ("accelerator") on your computer and setup it for working through the proxy-server of the accelerator.

You must setup all your programs for working through HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy. If you don't setup some programs they will work via your uplink channel.

There are three kinds of connection via accelerator in dependence of uplink channel:
